Objectives

The University’s charitable aim is the advancement of education. The main beneficiary of our charitable aim is our large and diverse student body. We have over 14,000 students studying with us on campus, and around 6,000 more through partnerships in the UK and overseas.  Through the transformative experience of our students, we create social impact, which is our ultimate purpose. We also deliver social impact through our research, enterprise and engagement with the wider world, and our diverse collaborations and partnerships which will continue to transform lives, communities and businesses for the better.

Activities

We provide over 200 different courses in over 25 subject areas ranging from sciences to business, arts, humanities, healthcare, nursing and education. These include foundation, undergraduate and graduate degrees and short courses. We carry out innovative research that has wide- ranging and significant impact on the lives of local, national, and international communities. We work with partners locally, nationally and internationally to deliver social impact, including research, education and wider social impact.
