'UEL Enterprise' is a support service within 'The University of East London' offering enterprise training and advice to students, alumni and the local community.
Since 1898 UEL has had a longstanding commitment to our community as an ‘anchor institution’ which truly makes a difference to people’s lives. We take pride in offering a platform to ‘learn by doing’ with a focus on education, employment, enterprise and civic engagement. In particular, we are unique in that many of our students are often the first in their family to attend university and invariably have already overcome significant barriers and demonstrated levels of resilience and achievement that are remarkable in their own right. Volunteering your time and expertise can be a rewarding and diverse experience and offers the chance to provide support to entrepreneurs who otherwise would not otherwise have access to the experience and opportunities you could offer.
UEL Enterprise delivers a robust programme of support which sits both inside and outside the curriculum. We pride ourselves on delivering a student led programme and annually review our offer to ensure it meets the ever changing needs of the enterprenurial ecosystem. We have developed our own flagship start up and growth programmes which seek to develop skills, knowledge and experience amongst our students. Our programmes are also complemented by access to funding and resources to succeed.
UEL is also committed to supporting the local East London community and extend our programmes to local residents as well as our established community of businesses who are based at our onsite business centre.
