Objectives

Our Vision is to end homelessness in Milton Keynes.

Our Mission is to support those at risk of, or experiencing homelessness by:

  • Providing emergency accommodation during the coldest months of the year
  • Helping those who are homeless or vulnerably housed into longer term accommodation
  • Giving opportunities to access welfare support, employment, education, and counselling, to enable people to sustain their homes.

Our team provide a range of services to help to ensure we give guests the opportunity to stop the cycle of homelessness. We support:

  • Rough sleepers
  • Sofa surfers
  • People in emergency accommodation or temporary housing
  • Those who need support with their tenancies
  • Others who are vulnerable

Activities

UnityMK offers practical and emotional support for those experiencing or facing homelessness, along with various services that include:

  • Winter Night Shelters - Open during the coldest months of the year, offering 15 emergency beds and is a lifeline for many who would otherwise be sleeping rough.
  • Unity Park Station welfare centre – This is often the first-place people come when rough sleeping or facing homelessness. We provide meals, showers, laundry facilities and more, alongside our welfare team who offer advice and advocacy to help with a wide range of support needs, including housing, benefits, debt, mental health and addiction.
  • Wolverton – We are re-developing a Wolverton warehouse to become a complementary key hub, to deliver and expand our support facilities.
