Objectives

The United Colleges Group, formed by the merger of City of Westminster College and College of North West London in August 2017, is based at the heart of the education sector in London.  The Group’s aims are to build on a common purpose to provide high-quality post-16 and adult education and training.  The focus is on delivery to raise the educational attainment for young people and the skill levels of adults, working in partnership with schools, colleges, universities, borough councils and employers to secure benefits for the local communities. The Group has begun a significant period of property redevelopment to transform the college estates across North West London to attract the students of the future and provide the best learning environments for generations to come.

Activities

United Colleges Group does a range of things to meet its objectives including:

  • ensures high quality teaching and learning so that all students can reach their potential and move into employment
  • recruits and supports high performing teachers and lecturers
  • Develops the IT infrastructure and estate to deliver a world class learning environment
  • Uses resources to create value for money, and the best outcomes for students
  • Has policies and processes in place for regulatory and legal compliance
  • Creates a positive culture for organisational performance
