theunconnected.org crowdfunds projects from donors, sponsors and foundations. We focus on keeping schools and students connected, as well as bringing rural villages, farmers and impoverished communities into the economy by funding their mobile or satellite connections. Working within the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, theunconnected.org is playing a small part in reducing poverty and inequality as well as providing opportunities for people to be included in commerce, education and the economy, often for the first time.
