Unchosen’s mission is to raise awareness of Modern Slavery by empowering individuals, communities and organisations to recognise the signs and take action. We believe the most effective way of achieving this is by developing our cutting edge films and resources and by making these more widely accessible to individuals, communities and organisations.
We help the general public, front line workers, faith and community groups and business to recognise what modern slavery looks like, how to respond and take action to stop it.
We aim to work more directly with those who are either victims or at risk of becoming victims of modern slavery
We create cutting edge films and resources about Modern Slavery through our biannual short film competitions, and our in-house production team. All of our films are based on true stories.
We run road shows throughout the UK, showing films and providing a panel of experts to answer questions about modern slavery. Recently we have developed standalone resources for use with small community groups to encourage local activism. Early indications from our evaluations are showing that this is very effective in challenging perceptions and helping people to take action
