We focus entirely on promoting good environmental governance and the contribution of biodiversity to the well-being of the people and natural ecosystems across all of the UK’s Overseas Territories (UKOTs) and Crown Dependencies (CDs). We work mainly in the UK, in close contact with a wide network of partner organisations in UKOTs.
Through our network of members, our work facilitates mutual assistance between these and other bodies, including government departments in the UK and the UKOTs. We are involved in project work with UKOT partners, as well as coordination, networking, awareness-raising and education. We add value to projects and programmes by the specialist knowledge we hold of the unique situations in each of the UKOTs: their communities, their biodiversity, their challenges etc.
