Objectives

UK-German Shepherd Rescue Angels (UK-GSR) are a specialist German Shepherd (or Alsation) Rescue charity which rescues and rehomes German Shepherd dogs and puppies throughout the UK.

We are passionate about the German Shepherd Dog (GSD) breed which is often misunderstood and our aim is to reduce the numbers of GSD’s needing to come in to rescue by promoting responsible dog ownership and by supporting GSD owners (and their dogs) facing a wide variety of emergency situations.

Our mission is to:

  1. Secure adoption for GSD’s that come into our care.
  2. Reduce the number of unwanted GSD’s, through the promotion of responsible ownership and championing the cause for spaying and neutering.
  3. Educate the public about the breed, including the needs of and caring for GSD’s.

UK-GSR helps GSD’s across the UK be adopted and find their forever homes.   Whilst we find a suitable home, we accommodate dogs via a network of foster homes and a few carefully selected private boarding kennels, that have the same ethos as us.

We have no permanent paid members of staff; our team is comprised of a 400 strong network of committed volunteers. We are entirely self-funded and rely on donations and fundraising.
