We are a small volunteer-based group who operate from the Hope Centre – part of the Trinity
Methodist Church building in Castleford. We are open to any individual over the age of
eighteen without regards to disability, political or religious affiliation, race, sex or sexual
orientation. chat.
The aim of Trinity Mission is to help those in the wider Castleford community who are
marginalised and isolated, they often suffer from substance abuse and/or have found
themselves unemployed and struggling with benefits system.
Our values are care, compassion, understanding and tolerance to all people irrespective of their
faith, creed, colour or status. We have an expectation of all our volunteers to understand,
respect and work within our values and standards.
We currently serve hot meals and hand out food parcels on a Tuesday &
Wednesday between 12 - 2 pm which involves some preparation beforehand,
cooking, serving & cleaning up.
On other days we undergo organisation of food/clothing stock and cleaning.
We run a Monday evening session 7:30 – 9pm which involves serving tea/coffee and chatting to our guests/providing support and encouragement.
Our Support Co-ordinator also offers support and advice throughout the week face to face or over the phone and accompanies guests to appointments where necessary.
