Objectives

Founded in 1957 the Triangle Adventure Playground has been contributing to the health, well-being and happiness of children generally and promoting their educational, physical and emotional development through a wide range of recreational activities for 63 years. Based in North Lambeth we serve a mixed community. Many have lived on the North Lambeth estates for generations, many are transitory, many are socio-economically deprived and many are moving into the new gentrified areas. Through play we encourage social cohesion across ethnicity, gender, faith, age and socio-economic class. Play breaks down barriers.  Because of our longevity we have become a community hub for our families.  Never more evident than during the pandemic where on-line play activities, delivered play boxes, posted birthday cards and weekly check-in phone calls ensured that no-one felt isolated or alone.  Last year over 600 children and young people regularly access our services.

Activities

We provide structures, moveable equipment and experienced and qualified staff to facilitate play sessions, nature club and sports every evening after school and every weekday during the school holidays in a small green oasis amongst the North Lambeth estates.
