Transitions UK Supports Disadvantaged Young People at risk aged 14 to 25 years, to ensure they Transition to Healthy, Happy and Fulfilled adult lives. Disadvantage among young people in the UK is rife; be that through disabilities and special needs, economic and social circumstance, emotional and mental health issues, those in care or leaving care, those excluded from school or at risk of offending.
The challenges faced by these young people at risk within what has been called a “lost generation” means that they often struggle to transition to a productive and happy adult life and that the cycle of disadvantage continues.
Transitions UK’s unique vision and approach directly addresses that picture and is underpinned by a proven belief that positive, supportive relationships, together with a social and personal development toolkit, are key to breaking that cycle of disadvantage and to helping youth at risk build their own positive futures.
Our projects will turn young lives around and help produce a better society for us all to live in.
We are beginning our development by helping young disadvantaged young people in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire & North London, and will later expand our services to cover other communities throughout England and Wales.
