Transition Homes is a Community Land Trust, which is a non-profit organisation set up to deliver affordable housing & other community facilities. It was established by local volunteers in response to the huge need for affordable housing & to the environmental impact of conventional housing development, and will assist local people in housing need.
We are committed to delivering environmentally sustainable housing & facilities, & enabling people to live a more sustainable, low carbon lifestyle in a supportive community. Our first development at Clay Park, in Dartington, is for 27 terraced homes built with locally sourced & sustainably managed natural materials, with renewable energy generation, a community building and allotments. The scheme has full planning permission, and at present we are focussed on raising investment & detailed design work, to start on site in September 2018.
