Tower Hamlets Council for Voluntary Service (THCVS) is a charity which supports the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Tower Hamlets to have a greater impact.
Activities
We fulfil our objectives by:
A relentless commitment to supporting the smallest community groups to secure funding, in the last year alone £186,000.
Securing funding of over £1m for projects in the last year, of which over £500,000 will go directly to community groups in Tower Hamlets
Supporting our 400+ members with governance, policies and bid writing. The groups we supported have, in the last 12 months alone, gone on to provide support services to 40,000 of the borough’s most marginalised residents.
Being involved in borough-wide partnerships to affect systemic change
Connecting both within the VCS and with statutory partners so that the voices of our communities are heard so that they can influence decision making
Provide a strong infrastructure, vital to support the work of VCS groups
