Objectives

Towcester Museum Trust is a registered charity founded in 2003 and dedicated to providing a quality museum and visitor centre for Towcester. Located in the courtyard of a former Georgian coaching inn in the heart of historic Towcester, the museum provides a centre for tourism and historical information for the district and a much needed focal point for the exhibition, display and interpretation of the history of the Towcester district.

Activities

This heritage project comprises:

  • Modern museum galleries
  • Tourist information and visitor centre
  • A venue for temporary exhibitions
  • A museum shop
  • An educational and research facility
  • A facility for preserving local historic archives & artefacts
