Activities

To meet our objectives, An Tobar and Mull Theatre undertakes the following activities:

Creative Programme:

  • Theatre and Dance: We produce and tour up to three new theatre shows annually, showcasing original works and Gaelic-influenced productions both locally and nationally.
  • Music: We organise up to 24 music performances per year, featuring local, national, and international artists, including special concerts and community events.
  • Visual Arts: We curate a year-round schedule of exhibitions, featuring commissioned, touring, and community-led works, along with public engagement activities.
  • Film: We screen a mix of mainstream, arthouse, and family films, collaborating with film festivals and supporting local filmmakers.
  • Creative Learning: We provide workshops and classes across various disciplines, targeting children, young people, adults, and older people, including tailored programmes for those living with dementia.

Community Engagement:

  • Outreach: We work closely with schools, community groups, and local organisations to deliver free arts education and participatory projects.
  • Involvement: We actively involve community members in our programming through events like Mull Pride and the An Tobar Festival, fostering a sense of ownership and empowerment.
