Thistle credit union is a financial co-operative owned by its members. It is a not-for-profit organisation which offers a savings and low cost loans service to its members.

Blantyre Credit Union Ltd trading as Thistle Credit Union endeavours to fulfil its mission to:

“Provide practical, reliable and ethical financial products and services to all who reside or work in Lanarkshire delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.”

This will be accomplished through sharing a common set of values which include:

As a Credit union - we basically work by members saving together to create a pool of money from which low cost loans are made.
