Objectives

Our chief aim is to improve the quality of life for those living in the local community, an area marked by multiple indicators of socio-economic deprivation.

We believe in people’s power to create positive change and we constantly strive to provide a safe environment which nourishes and supports creativity, confidence, self development and self worth.

We work with a diverse range of people who seek to engage and inspire those around them. The Thanet allows people to be who they want to be, to forge relationships and build communities.

Activities

We run a Youth Club and various activities for children and young people including projects in bike maintenance, fashion, regular classes in hip-hip, street dance, martial arts and theatre skills. We have a regular group for older members of our community and are currently working on creating a growing space to teach our young people about food production and the environment.
