TeenTech are a UK based charity working to help young people, their parents and teachers understand the fast-growing opportunities across digital, science, technology and engineering and the skills needed to take advantage of them. Although our programmes are open to all, we are pleased to say TeenTech has been very successful in reaching those who may be disadvantaged by gender, ethnicity, disability, social background.
We began work in 2008, formalised as a Community Interest Company in 2011 and then as a charity in 2019. We are a small but highly effective charity, working directly with with over 20,000 young people but creating change within the education community.
From the outset, our work has been determined by the real needs of our stakeholders – young people – and they have helped to set the focus of our work.
We run a range of programmes from large scale festivals across a region to sharply focussed workshops in schools and on employer sites , delivering opportunities where young people can discover and develop their potential. Over the past couple of years, we have developed a high-quality virtual offer with agile delivery whilst students, teachers and parents were under enormous and unpredictable pressure.
