Every 4 seconds, 1 person on the planet is forcibly displaced and proliferating due to ongoing conflicts, persecution and climate change.
Our mission is to leave no displaced persons behind in an increasingly digital and climate change stricken world through innovations, inclusions and insights.
The objects of Techfugees Foundation is the promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of charities working with refugees and of the effective use of resources for charitable purposes in support of refugees for the public benefit anywhere in the world by encouraging, supporting, facilitating and enabling technological innovation and/or solutions for such charities’ operational activities.
Operating within the framework of the UN SDGs, we orchestrate the global digital tech collective of innovative ICT/technology organisations, cross-sector collaboration and the volunteer community to empower displaced inclusion by harnessing the transformative power of open responsible digital innovations, curated for and with displaced communities to have equitable access to information, education, health and work for their betterment whilst sharing insights on open data and elevating displaced voices to the forefront to promote their human rights.
Techfugees Foundation coordinates international Chapters to orchestrate the local programme design, development and deployment, for and with displaced persons that empower their inclusion, in collaboration with the global digital tech collective and local cross-sector partnerships led by the Chapters. such as local NGO/charities supporting displaced persons, corporates and technology solution providers.
Operating under the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, our ambition is to empower inclusion of one million displaced persons in three years.
