Our Journey: Supporting Mental Health Since 1990

Swindon Mind, originally established in 1990, has been a dedicated presence in our community, devoted to providing vital mental health support and services. In 2018, we proudly expanded our reach and became Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind (S&G Mind), strengthening our commitment to mental health and wellbeing across regions. As a registered charity and limited company, we're more than just an organisation; we're a lifeline for those in need.

What Sets Us Apart?

  • Local Mind Association (LMA): We are a Local Mind Association affiliated with National Mind, standing proudly alongside the broader mental health movement while maintaining our local focus and independence. Our strong community roots drive our dedication to serving you, our neighbours, with the best care possible.

  • Autonomous Decisions: S&G Mind operates independently and receives no direct funding from National Mind. This means we have the freedom to make decisions tailored to the unique needs of our local community. Your mental health and wellbeing are our sole priority, and we design our services accordingly, with you, for you.

  • Guided by Compassionate Trustees: As a registered charity, our organisation is overseen and supported by a dedicated group of volunteer trustees. These individuals generously contribute their time and expertise to ensure that we deliver the highest-quality mental health services to those who rely on us.
