Objectives

Sutton Counselling is a well established non profit making organisation which aims to make counselling available and accessible to the local community of Sutton and the surrounding area and so to reduce personal distress. We have gained considerable experience of addressing the mental health needs of the community since our formation in 2001 and have developed into a respected charity providing a reliable, trusted service. We have established and maintain good relationships with local GP's who continue to send their patients to us in addition to other referrers. We aim to provide a service which is affordable for the clients means and appropriate for the local population. Our success in this is reflected in the mix of our client group which broadly matches the demographic of the borough of Sutton in terms of age, gender and ethnicity. We offer up to 90 sessions per week which are provided by a team of voluntary counsellors and supported by weekly professional supervision and a small administration and management team. We believe in the value and importance of each and every individual and aim to help those who come to us live fuller, richer and less anxious lives.
