The Sussex Heart Charity has a mission to:
IMPROVE the care, treatment, resuscitation and rehabilitation of persons suffering from cardiac conditions with the overall aim to improve heart health for the people of Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and west Sussex.
FINANCE projects, facilities, personnel or research through the cardiac services provided by Sussex hospitals.
SUPPORT community projects for the education, care, treatment, resuscitation and rehabilitation of people living in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.
We fund new innovative nurse-led services and equipment which improve the care for cardiac patients, whilst facilitating the continuous professional development of cardiac staff. This is in addition to safeguarding local communities by the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's)
We also support Cardiac Rehabilitation, this means we are involved in every stage of a patients journey pre and post condition.
