Objectives

Surrey Remap is the local branch of the national charity Remap, whose aim is to design and make custom equipment for the disabled. We serve people of all ages and disabilities. Our team comprises volunteers who are imaginative, constructive and able to come up with ideas and then put them into practice.

Activities

When a disabled persons needs are not adequately met by commercially available equipment, Remap can be called in to work creatively with the client/carer/OT to come up with ideas to help solve problems of independence and everyday living. Every case is different which presents challenges which make our work both meaningful and rewarding. Our volunteer 'engineers' work from their own home workshops designing, making and modifying specialist equipment for the disabled. We are practical, competent handymen with time to help.
