Support for Survivors is a Charity, Providing support to male & female victims/survivors, whose childhood experiences of sexual-physical-psychological-Incest abuse and rape has had a profoundly damaging effect on their achievement and potential as adults. We provide positive, pro-active progression pathways to further education, befriending, volunteering, training, and back into employment. To empower maximum potential, raise awareness, improving the impact of trauma on mental health and well-being.
So far our volunteers have helped over 50 people through workshops in Nottingham and also through lectures that our founder Maxine Robinson gives to NHS professionals and the police. For the future we are trying to raise funds to mount these workshops on permanent basis and provide web-based services, telephone help desk and a drop-in centre.
