Objectives

SuperKind is a 100% not-for-profit social action & philanthropy platform for young children and their schools. Our mission is to educate, inspire and empower 7-13 year old children to take action and make a difference to the community and world around them.

Activities

There are three parts to SuperKind:

  • Educating: SuperKind provides unrivalled, child-safe coverage of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and other important current issues (such as the war in Ukraine or the rising cost of living). The pages have been created in partnership with academics and educational experts to make them engaging, fun and easy to use. As well as offering a host of photo and video content, interactive quizzes and pop-up glossary definitions, the pages teach children about the problems, the solutions and most importantly what concrete actions they can take to contribute to each issue. We have also developed cross-curricula lesson plans for teachers to integrate these resources into the classroom.

  • Inspiring: Case studies of over 50 young change-makers are featured on SuperKind. Their stories serve to inspire other young people that they too can make a difference in the world, whether that be by writing to their MP about an issue they think needs to change, volunteering their time to help others or raising money.

  • Empowering: Together with over 50 charity partners, we have developed 12 step-by-step toolkits to teach children how to take action in an easy and meaningful way. Covering everything from volunteering to donating, children are led through the process of taking social action and can even earn badges for the actions that they have taken. We will shortly be launching the first ever cross-charity fundraising platform for children. Here children and schools will be able to safely and efficiently host fundraisers and sponsored events and collect money for their chosen charities.
