The objectives of the charity are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Stroud in Hampshire and neighbouring districts ("the area of benefit") without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, nationality, age, disability, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
The charity provides a Village Hall as a safe meeting place for users and a facility for individual or group hire to run activities that benefit the local and wider communities in a respectful manner.
The organisation facilities the use of Stroud's new Village Hall through private or individual hire by third party organisations and other NFPs. In addition, there is an active, volunteer-run, Social Committee that organises events on a regular basis for residents of the village of Stroud and their friends and families.
