Objectives

We are a 30 bedded hostel offering accommodation with support to homeless or potentially homeless single people locally.

We work together with every client to produce an individual tailor made support plan, looking at goals and the steps to achieve them.

Our aim is to reduce homelessness by empowering clients with new skills and knowledge to move on into independent permanent accommodation.

Activities

  • Work with clients 1-1 with weekly support meetings
  • Signpost Clients to appropriate outside support services
  • Offer our Home Achievement Programme (HAP) a nationally recognised accredited training course. Equivalent to a NVQ 1 level.
  • Offer support from our Health and Wellbeing Coach
  • Work with voluntary services, bringing in new skills to the service.
  • Offer volunteering opportunities to our Clients.
  • Offer opportunities through our Peer to Peer facilitator.
  • Provide various groups for Clients to participate in:  Self Esteem, chi kung , coffee and chat.
