We are a successful community owned property and land trust that owns a rural business park and 150 acres of farmland half way between Worcester and Stratford-upon-Avon. We have 27 units and around 100 people work on site. We have a 3-year track record of being 100% let in a rural area.
Our members come in all shapes and sizes and we are proud of their diversity. We have over 300 investors; 30% are local supporters and many more live across the UK and internationally. What unites our members is their passion for supporting Stockwood. Members invest in us because of our innovative approach to securing land and farm succession, organic and biodynamic land stewardship, and our commitment to renewable energy.
We make positive ecological and social impacts.
Eco Farming - 150 acres are let to the biodynamic organic Rush Farm. Biodynamic agriculture is pro-environment and is designed to be a self-sustaining farm system that builds soil humus that is good for food, conservation and carbon sequestration.
Renewable Energy - A £400,000 solar and ground source heat pump system is being installed to heat the business park. Providing warm air in winter and cold in summer this district heating system is better for the tenants as well as the environment.
Social Impact - We are working with partners to deliver land based education that is proven to help children challenged by mainstream education adjust and thrive. We also offer bush craft training and aim to open a Steiner early years provision on the farm.
