Stay Safe East (SSE) is a specialist by-and-for organisation providing advocacy and support to disabled victims of domestic and sexual abuse, hate crime and crime more generally, in London. Most of our team, including our trustees, are disabled people with lived experience of abuse. Because of this, at SSE we understand the intersectional experiences of abuse, and barriers to support faced by disabled people.
We provide casework, advocacy and advice (benefits advice) for disabled people impacted by abuse and crime. We take time to build trusting relationships that result in genuinely holistic support for our users. Our key aim is empowerment. Our users shape their support: telling us what they need help with and how we can help
