The Star Eclampsia & HELLP Foundation has been set-up to create awareness of Pre-Eclampsia and Eclampsia. The name of the charity is modelled on Estelle, using her name and her personality: a star which acts as a guide and helps people who need it. Pre- eclampsia and eclampsia are not widely spoken about. There is little research done to explore new treatment and new ways to prevent this happening. For these reasons, it is sometimes difficult for doctors to recognise the symptoms. That is why it’s so important you help in what way you can by donating to us.
We aim to raise money to fund new medical research and advance existing knowledge to ensure doctors and midwives are properly equipped to tackle eclampsia. The condition is complicated and life-threatening but, with your support, we can protect mothers and babies and work tirelessly until we find a way to prevent any more tragic cases like Estelle.
