We are Stanleys Community Centre, a registered charity (number 1183140), set up by the community in the West End of Morecambe, Lancashire in 2019, to meet the needs of local people.

Our 4 Trustees, and team of 10 staff and 25 volunteers are members of the community with lived experience of some of the issues that our community face. Our vision is that all residents living in Morecambe enjoy a high quality of life, are able to achieve their economic, social and educational goals, and feel part of a strong, prosperous and caring local community.

We support over 2000 local people aged 8 to 98 per year through a varied and busy programme of youth, health and wellbeing and community programmes.

We provide an ever changing timetable of activities and support for local people of all ages. We use asset based community development approaches, all the support and sessions we run are decided by our community members based on their needs. Our staff and volunteers then create the activities or often support local people to design and develop their own groups and services. leading them as volunteers. Our services include:

  • Holiday food and activity funds
  • Craft and Chat
  • Tai Chi and Chi Gong
  • Baby massage

  • Seated exercise
