We're an awareness raising charity, supporting people of all ages who have no contact with their family or a key family member. We work alongside many different partners to improve recognition and support for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. We put an emphasis on generating research and awareness on family estrangement and disownment, working in policy, press and building innovative national support services for those who are living in society without the support of a family network.
We offer support in the form of therapeutic groups and workshops. At the same time, we create social and clinical research to aid understanding of family difficulty, breakdown and estrangement. Alongside this we write and publish innovative support and advice guides for students and young people who are studying in further or higher education without the support of a family network. Raising awareness and breaking down stigma is at the heart of what we do, both around parents and children who are no-longer in touch.
