Objectives

Stand Against Violence (SAV) aims to reduce and prevent violence in U.K communities through education and awareness raising.

There are over 1.9 million incidences of violence in England and Wales each year. Each incident has the potential to result in life changing consequences. SAV was set up following one such incident which claimed the life of 17 year old Lloyd Fouracre. We hope that through our work tragedies such as this can be prevented.

SAV has a successful track record of changing attitudes towards violence with the young people we teach being over 80% less likely to resort to violence as a means of conflict resolution (CPH, 2014). We invest our time in evidence based approaches towards violence prevention.

Activities

SAV works with young people and violent young offenders to educate about the consequences of violence in an effort to reduce their chances of engaging in violence keeping them and others safe.
