To advance the educational and social development of pre-school children with the emphasis on play experience so that they become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors and take a constructive place in the community.

Stableroom Playgroup runs from 9.15am - 12noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, during term time only. Children ideally attend for two or three sessions per week. Stableroom is run by a fully qualified Playleader and three qualified practitioners. The playgroup is a member of Early Years Scotland and is subject to regular inspections from the Care Inspectorate. It is a registered charity with externally audited accounts. Stableroom is run by a Parents Committee. The Committee is elected at an AGM held each September and consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a fund-raising sub-group and non-office bearing members.
