Objectives

St Paul's Preschool is a friendly, not-for-profit community Preschool in Mill Hill, London NW7, and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Preschool provides a warm, caring and nurturing environment for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. We welcome children from all faiths and cultural backgrounds.

Our Preschool is open term-time only and offers sessions on Monday-Friday 9am-1pm; on Tuesdays and Wednesdays children have the option to attend 9am-3pm.

We care for young children at a crucial stage in their development. Our impact can probably be best described in the words of one of our parents, who fed back in our anonymous parent survey:

'I feel that my child is so welcomed, cared for and thought about in St Paul's Preschool. I feel so lucky to have found such a special and individual place. The activities are so stimulating and all our children have blossomed in your environment.'

Activities

We have a strong emphasis on helping children to learn through play. We have high staff to child ratios, so that we can ensure high-quality provision. One of the things that makes us stand out is our staff: many of our staff have been with us for many years, and all of our staff care deeply for our children.

We offer the children an inspiring choice of activities every day, carefully chosen to help move children on in the next steps of their learning. As well as a wide range of free-play options, we also currently offer:

* forest activity sessions - we have staff working towards Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification, as well as several staff already hold Level 2 Forest School qualifications
* music and dance sessions
* Spanish
* exercise sessions.

The Committee works closely with the staff, and particularly the Preschool Manager, to support the children and families at the Preschool.
