St John’s Hospice provides free care for over 4500 people and their families every year living with a long term illness in London. Based in St John’s Wood, Westminster we aim to meet the medical, physical, social and emotional needs of our patients across a range of services including an Inpatient Unit, Day Centre, Hospice@Home and community nursing team. It costs around £5million to run all these services each year of which around half comes from the NHS.
The Hospice provides numerous services to our patients including the Inpatient Unit which is a 19 bed ward where our team of qualified medical personnel provide 24 hour dedicated care to patients during their final days.
This highly personal, holistic approach to care takes time, skill and experience from a multi-professional team. We care for people in the hospice and in their homes. We also provide training, advice and support to other health professionals.
