The church members make themselves available to provide support to the whole parish, and not just those parishioners who attend church services. During Covid, the elderly and housebound were assisted with shopping and prescription collection, and arrangements put in place then are ongoing.
Our vicar, who is non stipendary, makes visiting one of his priorities and as a result has swelled our numbers.
The parish does have a pub, but no other facility, so for some residents it is isolating.
Our church provides pastoral care, both practical and emotional, for a small and scattered community. Services are held on a weekly basis and weddings, funerals and baptisms are regularly conducted.
