St Ives Day Centre, based on Ramsey Road, is a unique community charity providing a service for the elderly, lonely and frail within the local community.
It is the only day centre of its kind in the St Ives area providing essential services to its members. We offer social contact in a friendly environment and a hot, freshly cooked lunch each day along with live entertainment in the afternoon. Just as importantly it offers a much needed break for families and carers many of whom provide round the clock care with this service giving them perhaps their only respite.
We are actively recruiting new volunteers both in the centre and as escorts for our bus service.
At the centre we entertain the members with seated excercises, word games and general chat tn the morning. We serve a two course hot lunch and then have "professional" entertainers in the afternoon. We try to keep members happy and stimulated as many of them do not see many people outside the centre and are quite lonely
