Objectives

St George's Hospital Charity benefits the patients of St George's Hospital, which features in the TV programme 24 hours in A&E. Our mission is to raise and use charitable funds to benefit patients, support healthcare staff and improve facilities at St George's Hospital and associated health services. Our work involves enhancing the patient experience beyond what the NHS can provide.

Activities

We Have a General Fund which generates a surplus and this is made available to St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust by way of grants. We are also responsible for some 250 Special Purpose Funds which provide for Research, Education, Equipment, Environmental Improvements and much more, right across the hospitals and community.

The Charity also has an active and dedicated fundraising department which raises millions of pounds for specific capital projects and equipment.
