Spotlight on Africa is a development charity that is passionate about making a lasting difference to the people of Eastern Uganda, an area torn aprt by decades of conflict.
We are run entirely by volunteers in the UK - more than 95p of every pound goes directly to our projects.
We currently work in a sub-county in the District of Mbale where the basic infrastructure we take for granted - education, health care and clean water - is largely absent. We believe that a sustainable impact can only be achieved by integrating education, health care, clean water and economic development projects.
We fund initiatives that are identified and owned by the ultimate beneficiaries. We do not duplicate efforts - we collaborate and not compete with other organisations in the area.
