SportInspired is a charity on a mission to connect communities and help people enjoy being active.
We work with businesses, councils, housing associations, schools and clubs to help inspire activity, develop skills and strengthen communities.
Founded in 2008, we have run 200 programmes across the UK, working with 50,000 children, 1,000 schools and sports clubs, some of the UK’s largest companies, councils, and housing associations, and 10,000 employee volunteers.
We work with local communities to organise SportInspired Games, where children (especially non-sporty ones) are inspired to take up many different sports.
A multi-sport festival inspired them, and a follow-up (‘legacy’) programme ensures participants are supported to take up sports they’d like to play again.
The children become more active, build confidence & life skills and build bridges between themselves and others
