Spoonie Village provides online community spaces and creative projects to those with chronic illnesses and disabilities, with the aim of empowering and enriching lives.
Spoonie Village offers a number of online spaces, through social media and our own platforms, for community members to interact, express, and explore their lives as Spoonies. This can be seen not just in the comments sections of our posts, but on our blog which contains user submitted articles, the engagement that comes from our creative activities, and the friendships created between members of the community.
We offer regular collaborative creative projects tailored for those with limited energy or mobility, and hold semi-regular larger events, which involve sending out kits of materials for the cost of postage before gathering participants in an online space to create and socialise together.
We also have a small online shop which sells products aimed at bringing some levity to the lives of our community members, the profits of which go straight back into our projects.
