The Spitalfields Trust is a building preservation trust that campaigns for the historic environment.  Set up as a charity in 1977 as part of a campaign by a group of architects, architectural historians and journalists to save the early Georgian buildings of Spitalfields in London, the Trust is still based there today.

The Trust saves and repairs buildings that are at risk of demolition or harm across the UK, from East End cottages to medieval palaces.

The Trust also plays an important role in campaigning for the historic environment in East London and beyond, working with local communities, amenity groups and Councils.

The Trust also owns Dennis Severs House, a magical house that tells the story of Spitalfields through the eyes of a Huguenot family; and 19 Princelet Street, an extraordinary building devoted to the story of migration and diversity in Britain, which we are in the process of reacquiring and relaunching.
