Sparkle directly supports children and young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties, and their families, from across Gwent. The guiding principle for Sparkle is to ensure that children and young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties and their families are fully supported and able to participate in valued childhood experiences, with access to the same range of opportunities, life experiences, activities and community services as any other child and their family.
In order to achieve this, we have built an award winning, fully integrated Children’s Centre in South Gwent, encompassing state of the art equipment and leisure facilities, where health, social care and Sparkle operate side by side. Sparkle is the official charity partner of Serennu Children’s Centre, and we support over 300 families a week at the Centre. We deliver activities and clubs for the children, such as Independent Living Skills, Youth Clubs, Play Clubs, and swimming sessions, whilst also supporting families through specialist counselling, workshops, information and advice services.
Sparkle is a growing charity, increasing access to support for children and young people with disabilities and/or developmental difficulties in Gwent. We are excited about the future of our charity, as we expand to provide our services across the North and West of Gwent.
