Activities

1. In advancing Education we partner with schools in the geographical areas to counsel and support students with their issues relating to their studies. We supply learning materials such as books and writing materials. We also run after school clubs with extracurricular activities to teach them life skills as well.
2. In providing relief and support to underprivileged groups, we use donated funds and items to provide basic necessities to the most needy people in the geographical area.
3. In promoting community development, we run mentorship programmes in business owners and professionals in the local area are put in contact with interested members of the community to teach them new skills and methods on how to become self-reliant. We also believe our support to the educational system will help to promote community development.
4. In launching sensitisation campaigns and workshops to promote knowledge sharing, we produce leaflets and handout to members on events and aspects affecting their lives such as health awareness, healthy living, how to verify/handle fake news etc. Our most recent workshop was to inform the local population on the importance of Quality Education in line with the recommendations of SDG4.
5.Our education programs intend to impact young people with knowledge on human rights particularly the rights to education, participation and other relevant rights protected under Covenant on Economic Social and Cultural Rights, Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We raise awareness on the entitlements under these international treaties and the need for a responsible exercise of these entitlements to ensure coherence in the society.
One of our goals is to apply the spirit of camaraderie of the people of the southwest region to promote peaceful coexistence amongst the people. Our Youths for Peace Campaign promotes togetherness and peace in communities through recreational activities such as sports, music and dance. In our peace efforts we intend to promote dialogue between the parties involved in the crisis within our region. We intend to do so through advocacy and campaigns.
6. Conscious of our cultural diversity, we value the promotion of tribal harmony and equality in diversity. To achieve this, we intend to promote inter-cultural dialogue through festivals and other cultural events showcasing our diverse and rich cultures. We intend to promote the message of unity in diversity.
