Objectives

The Southwark and Lewisham Law Centre is a registered charity and one of the largest providers of free legal advice in the country to low income residents in inner SE London. We help hundreds of families get more secure housing and immigration status each year, and provide more specialist help for other community interests.

Activities

Our 33 staff, nearly half of whom are solicitors, specialise in offering housing and immigration advice to people, mainly in South East London, who could not otherwise afford access to justice. Our website gives more detail about the scope of our work. This also includes helping parents secure proper SEN provision for their children, Windrush victims get Home Office compensation, and community groups with planning law advice.
