Objectives

Southend Carers is committed to the empowerment of Carers & we endeavour to provide services to support & advise them, reduce their isolation, and improve their health & wellbeing.

Our main objectives are to ensure that Carers of all ages in Southend on Sea will be:

 

  • able to live healthy lives as regards their emotional and physical well-being
  • able to alleviate the social isolation that many feel due to their caring role and responsibilities
  • encouraged to identify themselves as Carers and have their needs identified/understood, in order that they might receive person-centred, focussed and appropriate services in response
  • provided with the latest accurate information relating to the needs of Carers and the lives of their dependants

Activities

We offer  a range of services to support Carers in the Southend including Telephone Helpline; Information & Advice, Peer Support; Counselling; End of Life Support, Emergency Planning, Social Engagement activities, Respite.
