Devon and Cornwall Police (DCP) are currently seeking to recruit a shadow board of trustees to establish the South West Police Heritage Trust – a new charitable organisation which will own, develop and provide access to the force’s Historic Collection.
Our heritage collection has been growing since the 1940s but, until now, the force has never been in a position to fully explore ways in which it could be opened up to the public and remain sustainable and relevant into the future.
In planning for the creation of the South West Police Heritage Trust we have worked hard to ensure that this unique new charity is robust and affordable and can thrive in the years ahead. We understand the importance and value of protecting our heritage and are confident that the new trustees will share this passion for our past, whilst creating a stimulating new vision for its future.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with others to help shape the future structure, governance, and ways of working of a new organisation. You will have an important role to play in protecting the heritage of Devon and Cornwall Police for future generations.
