Objectives

This is a unique mobile toy library service for children with disabilities and other additional needs, living within the rural Harborough District, or Oadby and Wigston Borough, in South Leicestershire.

The charity provides therapeutic, educational and stimulating toys and equipment to provide fun and play opportunities, and to support the learning and development of children with special needs and disabilities, or general developmental delay within South Leicestershire.

Toys and equipment which would be expensive to purchase, or difficult to access, are provided direct to family homes and settings.

Activities

Members join the charity, and can then select toys for a period of 4 weeks from an on-line range. The toys are then delivered to members' homes, schools, nurseries, playgroups, childminders etc., using our charity delivery van, driven by the Coordinator, and collected and replaced with the new choices the following month. The Coordinator also helps members choose the most appropriate toys for the child's needs.
