Objectives

South Essex Colleges Group is a large, regional college, which provides vocational and professional training for circa 8000 young people and adults from our campuses along the Thames Estuary.  It is the main provider for technical, vocational and professional skills training for South Essex.  In recent years it has merged with a specialist Engineering and Construction college and the creative industries.  It is a diverse curriculum with plans to grow and develop in a number of areas as part of its social impact, improving diversity and inclusion, SEND, and help students progress to the next level of study or into employment, usually with local employers to encourage and support the economic growth for the local community.

Activities

We offer a diverse curriculum including qualifications for 16-19 year olds, programmes for adults wishing to upskill or re-train, apprenticeships in partnership with employers and Higher Level and degree qualifications.  The college has successfully bid to develop and lead an Institute of Technology, with partners across the South East of England including major employers, universities and other Further Education Colleges.
